In 2024, the idea of ​​creating a Rebetiko Orchestra in Berlin became a reality.

With the support of Aspa Anoyati and the Kanarini Greek Music School in Berlin,we managed to bring together musicians from different musical fields and began learning songs from an era almost 100 years ago.  

Since then, the number of musicians participating in the Orchestra has increased and they have gained a lot of experience through the concerts we have held in Germany and Poland.

Jannis Stergiou , the leader of this project, having played with many great musicians of the genre in Greece during his 30 years of experience, teaches not only the correct notes but also the mentality of Rebetiko music through the years.

Through this process we learn the way of the genre and introduce it to the new generations, keeping the Rebetiko Spirit alive for the years to come.

We look forward to meeting more musicians, sharing the same enthusiasm and gaining more experience in the field of rebetiko music.
